Lomi Lomi Massage
Lomi Lomi is traditional Hawaiian Massage. It uses the forearms and hands in long flowing strokes all around the body, with the deeply present healing touch of Aloha. Aloha is a Hawaiian word meaning unconditional loving kindness.
Lomi Lomi invites the healing powers of nature. A rhythmical ocean wave, of varying speed and intensity, intuitively bringing in the energy of the elements: earth, air, fire, water.
The combination of the long continuous flowing strokes, occasionally working deeper into the muscle in some areas and moving joints, gives a deep energetic massage; helping release energetic blockages, tension and pain.
Two areas of the body are often massaged simultaneously, helping the receiver to let go and experience deep relaxation, harmony and often a sense of timelessness.
Lomi Lomi utilises Ha (breath in Hawaiian) and Pule (prayer), to create a sacred and spiritual element to the massage. Energy work is also integrated into the treatment.
Before the massage there is space for the client to share a little about what may be going on in their life at the moment, or something they wish to bring into the space to receive healing of some kind. The client is invited to set a healing intention before the massage.
